7 Skills to Manage Anxiety

Anxiety is a worry about future events and fear is a reaction to current events. These feelings may cause physical symptoms, such as a fast heart rate and shakiness. These 7 ways will help you to overcome your anxiety:-

 1)Have a good diet: Many problems can be prevented with a balanced diet. Try not to skip meals. A balanced diet helps to deal with anxiety more than you might know.

2)Circumvent caffeine, alcohol and drugs Caffeine and alcohol can activate anxiety. Limit your Caffeine and alcohol intake. Avoid unnecessary consumption of unwanted drugs. We all have capacity to bear a normal headache.

3)Sleep well and Exercise Have a good 8-9 hours of sleep. It is important for our body to rest. Exercise helps to maintain a good health and all our internal organs work smoothly. And when you feel exhausted or stressed take deep breaths. 

4)Don’t fear to be yourself One of the best ways to kill anxiety is to do what you love. Fill yourself with passion; it could be music, writing, sketching, reading, etc. Keep “YOUR TIME” special. Fill yourself with positivity. 

5)Responsible Involvement Volunteer in your work place, college or any function in your community and engage yourself to avoid any kind of negative feelings or thoughts. Try to keep yourself occupied.

6)Pep talk– No one can understand you better than you yourself. Talk to yourself and learn to accept your emotions. Do not ignore them. Because some of the emotions like anger, guilt and remorse are temporary. 

If you are still not satisfied then explain your situation to your family, friends or someone who you think is reliable. Ask for their help.

7)Seek for professional help if the situation is uncontrollable– If things are going out of hands do consult a therapist or a physician. One should not feel conscious-stricken while concerning to a specialist. In fact that is something you can do without any fear because you do not have any personal relations with him/her.
